I have used the Tokina 100/2.8 for several years with my D200. It is a nice sharp lens and a good value for the money. However, this lens is much better for macro than for portraits or general photography. So I sold the Tokina and replaced it with the Zeiss 100/2 which is a beautiful lens with outstanding sharpness from close focus to infinity; it produces a bokeh that is unsurpassed. Sadly, it is also quite expensive.
