My observation of the razor ad graphics is that; as they add more blades it leaves progressively less room for the stubble between the gaps. Eventually (and I think they're there already) the multi-blade razor can longer shave at all!
With VR the 3, 4 or now 5 stop claim is overly-simplistic. Sure I could see the difference between 1/125 and 1/2000 sec being plausibly bridged by VR for wide to normal focal lengths but at how slow a speed does each VR generation's claim become null & void? What I mean is, does VRlll get you from 1/8 down to two full seconds? And where does focal length fit in?
Obviously the new VR is improved and we will all benefit but I wouldn't take 3, 4 or 5 stops as a given in any and all situations, by a long shot.
