"RE: 5 Stops VR? Has Nikon Marketing lost the plot?"
>I'm all for Nikon shouting from the rafters when they have a>product that is really outstanding..... but 5 stops? Really?>I'm sure I can detect the strong whiff of a nearby Rattus>Norvegicus. Here's my theory.Marketing (according to Dilbert) is mostly liquor and guessing. With liquor after a while comes the shakes. If you have the shakes very badly, VR is more help to you. So as Nikon's marketing reaches deeper into their liquor, VR just naturally becomes more effective. If that doesn't explain it, I refer back to Dilbert and the second half of the statement. Linwood (at this moment it's the 3rd one down, I'm reluctant to link the actual image as it's copyright).http://search.dilbert.com/comic/MarketingComments welcomed on pictures: Http://captivephotons.com
