Interesting post, Roger. In many ways, it seems like "APS" film might have the benefits moved to standard 35mm when using the latest film cameras. And then some. Really cool idea as I never thought about the EXIF imprinting aspect and how far it might have gone.

I have the N80 and it also uses I think CR123 or some other alternate battery, and yes, it annoys me. Thankfully I don't use it enough to kill the batteries often since I have so many cameras, and I think the F100 is just that much better, but I dislike having to purchase specialized batteries that are costly.

Your insights about interchangeable viewfinders are also good, Vladmir. I suppose that if the F6 was built in a future without digital, they may have had the interchangable viewfinders afterall.
