According to http://www.botzilla.com/photo/strobeVolts.html the sync voltage of that flashgun varies considerably between samples (the highest being 197v). I don't know the capabilities of the N8008s but modern Nikon DSLRs can handle up to 250v across the main flash terminals. If your camera can handle the same voltage, you may or may not consider 190v+ to be too close to this limit to be safe. If you follow the instructions on the botzilla site then you may find that your flashgun has a much lower voltage.
