Have you gone into the menu and made the proper selections in D11 and D12
Not 100% sure but think you need to select grip batteries first to make them show up?

hi there!
thanks for dropping in.
d11 and d12 are configured correctly, even though this is not the problem as this is not related to recognition of en-el15 batteries...
the tiny BP sign ont the lcd display does not give a single sign of life ...
anyway, thks for your suggestion dan !!!

Swap over the batteries. And what happens if the only battery is in the MB D12? Just offering ideas here.

thannks!!!

already did it.

and if only the battery in the grip is kept, everything is dead.

i'm heading to nikon here to check if problem is in the grip or with camera. hope the grip is the problem...

by the way i bought the grip at amazon ( first time i bought a nikon product from amazon ) as i was in usa last week ...

worst thing can happen at this point is loosing 400 bucks i hope ....

i have returned from nikon rep and i am both glad and concerned ...
everything is working fine now !!!!
according to the nikon lab here, a contact problem from the md12 was the problem, and they kind of polished and cleaned the contacts .... so it was a 15 minute fix !!!!
they told me this was the first time they saw this in a new grip
( but then what else could they have told me ? )

i am glad it works, but still a bit concerned .... hope it doe'nt happen again while im travelling....

regards
andre.
