I just wanted to share some of the images that I took during the show today, 09Feb12. Both D800 and D4 were REALLY impressive! I tried the D800 and it was great. But after trying the D4 with its submachine gun performance, I am now ruined since I only have the budget for the D800E. These were taken with my Fuji X10. They are posted on my flickr too.

Enjoy the pictures. Click on the image to see the larger view.

Thanks Glenn, that's some real nice eye-candy you've got there . Can't wait till I can get some hands on here locally!

What was your sense of the weight of the two cameras?

Best regards, SteveK

Hi Steve. I think they were average about the same as my D700 with the grip on. After lugging my D700 with the 70-200mm and D7000 with 24-70mm, the D4 with 35mm f1.4G seem much lighter.

D800 with 14-24mm was a delight to use.

Glenn

Glenn,
Thanks for sharing the photos. I'm hoping to be able to play with the D800 and the D4 when I go to Las Vegas next week for the WPPI Convention.

Question, does the D800 have light up buttons on the back like the D4??? Wondering if you noticed have not heard either way on the D800
