When I use the in camera HDR in my Nikon D800, and compare it to a normal shot, I see no difference. What am I doing wrong?

Carmen,
If you are using the HDR function properly, you should have more of a delay before you see the final monitor display (review). If the image is appearing immediately, you don't have it set right. It's been awhile since I used it, but there was a distinct difference between the HDR images and the single image best exposure.
