Since moire is a questionable cloud over the "E", I was wondering if a few of you would mind trying the video capabilities of the "E" and shooting wide open to see if you pick up any visible moire. Please let us know what you find.

Thanks!

The resoution of the video image is lower than full images, so you should be changing from moire that is uncommon to moire that is very rare. With problem subjects you could still have moire, but the likelihood is lower with video than with stills.

I get moire' in stills and video on my D7000 which is about the same pixel pitch on the sensor.... I've also seen on a review of the normal D800, moire' was very noticable in video.... I imagine on the E, will be more so..... Video is down sampled from a larger part of the sensor, so it can cause more moire' in that one respect. However, in theory, firmware could help with this down the road.... jusr my 2 cents....
