My SD cards work fine in my D7000, but when I insert them in a card reader to transfer them to my computer, I always get a message on my screen indicating a problem with the card and asking if I want to "Scan and Repair" the card. I select "No" and continue, and the card is read just fine by my computer. This happens with both my SD cards, different manufacturers. Any idea what can be causing this?

Thanks, Mudman2. I'll give that a try.

Also try downloading directly from the camera using the USB cable.

After transferring all the images, you may want to re-insert that card in the computer, format the card in the computer, then remove it and format it in the camera.

The computer may have detected some old file fragments or possible bad sectors.

If it works, you can do that with the rest of them.

Also, an SD card may have been removed without being "unmounted" or "ejected," That might cause this symptom as well.
