She ordered me the D7000 and the 24-70 2.8 lens. How lucky am I!
I bought her the D5000 last year and my son the D3000 and they both love them. We have been taking some local classes here for the last couple of months and finally starting to learn how to use the cameras.

the fun should start hopefully before the end of October. They told me mid October but we will see how that goes..

Good for you. Great first post. New gear, a love story, family, apple pie. I have tears in my eyes.

Did your wife explain quid pro quo?

Hi Joe,

Welcome to Nikonians. If you haven't already, it's time to tell her also. Sounds like dinner and a play without the camera .

Enjoy you new camera and especially that lens.

Best Regards,
Roger

Hi Roger. Thanks and yes dinner and a play is in the works for sure. But she likes to bring her camera everywhere now that she is learning how to use it out of the auto settings.

And thanks everyone else

What great couples! I am going to be a good wife too, deciding to get a Bluetooth GPS for my husband as a Christmas gift. Haah. .he owns D7000. Many people told to wait Easytagger Bluetooth GPS, but need to wait another month, I don’t know whether worthy to wait…

How many cameras do you have? If 2 or more, then Easytagger would be better. It’s said that the Easytagger GPS main device would work or pair with at most three receivers, if so, your two or three cameras could work with one main device at the same time.
