I am trying to get theD7K to use only one box in the middle of the viewfinder for focusing. I don't want the box to move. I will move the camera to the subject and then have the camera auto focus on what ever is in the box. Can this be done? I looked in a couple books but can't find the info.

Set the focus points to "single" (page 96). Optionally set the focus-point lock lever to "L".

Static vs continous focus (AF-S vs AF-C) still come into play.
