Please get rid of the little twig over his head. Every time I look at this thread, my eyes go straight to that little distraction. You could either crop a bit tighter to exclude it or clone it out.

That's funny, I would have sworn Stash is a cat.

Even this dog lover has to say Stash has a certain dignity - nice shot.

Not the best portrait that I've ever taken, but I cannot get over the low light capabilities of this camera. Taken with an ISO of 5000.
Sorry, the picture was of my wife. She saw it and threatened to send me out for fast food for the rest of my life unless I deleted it.

Hi Gary,
I hope you were asking me and not someone else but incase you were: Nikon 70-200 VR in Apeture Priority at f2.8 hand-held no post processing other than to convert to jpeg and resize for this posting.
Many say that the 70-200VR is to soft for the full frame but I would have to disagree with that assesment at least based on my copy. Vingetting is also very ggod with my copy. While I am a hobbies just mostly shooting Grandkids and family I shoot some wildlife and lanscapes too often. I love this site for all of its incredible info for me to gather and learn from.

Hi John

I'm very interested in your experience of the 105 DC with the D700. I mainly use an 85f1.8 for indoor available light work. I'm planning an upgrade at some stage and torn between the 85f1.4 and the 105f2 DC.

I have a 105f2.5 AI which I've always liked but my MF isn't what is used to be - especially for wobbly kids. I need the better hit rate an AF lens gives me.

I like the Stash shot, can you tell me what aperature you used and whether you used the DC setting on this shot.

Thanks a mil

Rob

I just upgraded to a D700 (from a 300) this week, here is a test shot of my daughter on her new bike. I had a Nikon 50mm 1.4 on the body. Other than putting her in the shade There was not much science to it. What a amazing camera!
