Anyone trade in items on Amazon?

Just as an FYI, I ended up using B&H instead. Amazon would not "trade" the value, despite their listing it as a trade in. To do that you have to sell the lens to them, wait 2 weeks for it to clear, then use their gift card they pay with for the new lens.
I'm not a patient person.
B&H deals in money (or checks) so I just ordered a new one and sent in the old one. Turns out they offer pre-paid shipping also, though I did not notice that at first, as they also say in their terms "make sure it is prepaid and insured", I guess for people not in the US area they ship from prepaid.
Of course I'll see how they agree with me on evaluation in a couple weeks.
I'm still pretty tempted by Amazon, as I've always had outstanding customer service from them (so long as it is them, and not a marketplace vendor).

Amazon not only has stock but offers to buy back lenses for about the same price as KEH is quoting.
I've heard a fair number of cases where KEH's evaluations are pretty ... aggressive maybe is the word, at lowering the price. That of course has to consider people often over-estimate the quality of their gear.
Does anyone have experience selling to Amazon? They pay shipping both ways (i.e. if you decline the offer, though it appears you must decide in advance), they have the lens I will buy as well.

Postscript: I'm talking about Amazon proper, not a merchant on the marketplace.
