For those interested, B&H has an unadvertised version of Oops that comes with a spy module. The call it Snoops. Better hurry, though, as the rebate and free shipping expire this weekend ...

I just upgraded my uh-oh for a new oops and am very happy with my decision. Although there is a slight learning curve.

About Ken Rockwell and the oops...

I know from an inside source he is soon going to put an image of himself with the very rare oops for left-handed. Nikon have lent it to him on a lifelong basis...

Sorry, couldn't resist. And thanks for all the oops!

Hey guys, I know this might be the wrong spot for this, but I've got a quick question:

I've got some assignments coming up overseas, in some of the "not-so-nice"-er areas of the world. I'm a bit concerned about dragging my current "prosumer" gear along with me, though, as I don't want to wreck any equipment that I don't have to.

Anyway, I've heard rumors that there are "battle-hardened" versions of the OOPS out there, features like complete dust and water sealing, heavy-duty frame, built-in wireless transmission and GPS, you know, all the good stuff you really want/need when working in a tough field.

Question is, any of you guys know where I can get my hands on one of the these super bad@$$ variants of the OOPS model? I'm willing to pay top dollar, if only I can find one to purchase!!!

Please, help me find a TROOPS!!!

    -SMH

Learning the hard way is still learning, right?

WARNING! I recently sent my new D400 to Nikon for repair. They just contacted me and said due to repeated use of oops the repair is not covered under warranty. I am extremely upset as I did not see that mentioned in the warranty.
Has this happened to any other Nikonians?

I was raised on a farm in Indiana near the junction of the Wabash and Tippecanoe rivers, we could not afford any "oops" but we had plenty of "aw-chits" to go around.

Ya know, as a school teacher I've encountered more than my share of oops. In kindergarten, they were usually found near the paint easels, though some students seemed to find them among the scissors.

In my class, it was the major cause of low grades, as oops was responsible for skipped answers or pages on tests.

We teachers found it stored in the copy machines (especially if we were in a rush) and often utilized them for late-night reportcard writing.

Apparently oops were able to replicate, as we discovered them every morning when calling for homework. Students would gaze into their backpacks, and simply report "oops", when searching inside.

I'm not sure if we could live a day without an oops or two. But I've heard from collegues in the high schools, that oops were very dangerous among teenagers. I think I'd prefer not to ask.

By the way, my early congratulations to the next poster.

I'll bite - I wanted to be the 100th. I thought I would have something clever to say - but alas....nothing.

Can we put this thread to rest?

    Here’s the REAL DEAL.

This unit was used once then flattened by an enraged Canon loyalist. Some reassembly needed.

It comes with an unread Congressional copy of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. That’s right, decreed oops.

(It’s All Fools Day. I couldn’t find a card big enough for those of us who await our best work - just over the next widget. Then I bumped into this rip-roaring thread.)
