Somewhere I read that the different EH-5a, b, and c models just reflect ongoing changes to electric technology. The output should match the battery output, so that it will power the camera.

Sat 10-Oct-20 05:38 PMYes, I did check that the cutout is there on the Z7 body, so when I get a chance I will try it out. The advantage is that this lets you power the camera for as long as you have AC Where the EH-7P is only for charging the batteries in the camera. You can not use that power to run the camera. I am glad I kept the charger when I sold my D810. Thank you both for your inputs.Bob Baldassano

FGreco Registered since 22nd Jan 2016Wed 11-Nov-20 01:20 PMJust thought I'd mention that I received my Z6II on Saturday and when it would not accept my Indipro external battery source, which I've been using on my D850 and Z7 for night-long hour time lapses for several years without any issues. Seems like the new ZII's will only accept the Nikon batteries. Hopefully I can operate the Z6II with the indipro via the USB charging port once I have the correct cable made up. Just thought I'd mention...
