Z6ii autofocus, getting there

I just read Steve Perry "The secrets to Nikon Auto focus System, mirrorless edition") learned a lot and picked very valuable tips.

Adding 5 photos here, all taken with the Nikkor 200-500 with FTZ adapter, most at focal length 500 and using Area mode Wide-S. The Warbler was taken in Dynamic Range. Speed was above 1/1200.

I shoot in RAW but converted to .jpg and reduced size for the post

The Canadian Geese gave me a lot of trouble because of the low contrast to the background.

Clearly the system is struggling in the acquisition phase but I still managed to get some decent shots.

G
