Balance problem with the 600 and the z on my gimbal solved with small rig 200 gm counter weight screwed into the bottom of the l bracket.
I use a 1.4 teleconverter with the 600mm and a 1.7 teleconverter for the 500 pf. The 500 pf with the teleconverter was easy to handhold and image quality very close to the 600mm but at f9.5. compared to f5.6-6.3 with the 600mm.
