Hi folks! How about re-instating an off-again on-again Nikonians should-be tradition: the stuff swap. Great place to find stocking stuffers, Hannukah prezzies, even little stuff for yourself. Here are the rules:

  • You can have anything I'm offering here. All you have to do is pay me postage costs and I'll send it to you! with the understanding that

  • You post something to give away (minimum one item for each item you "take"; sky's the limit in terms of how many items you can list).

  • You don't have to "take" anything in order to post. You can just use this thread to clear out old stuff that it would be too much hassle to try to sell. You can always come back and "take" something later if you see something good.

  • Somebody else "takes" your stuff, pays you postage, and you send it to them, provided that they post something of their own to give away.

  • The limit of how much stuff you can "take" is determined by how much you list, not by whether or not anybody else has taken it yet.

  • However, please post stuff that you really, in another phase of your life, given what you now know, would still WANT.

And on she goes. The more stuff posted, the more fun the thread gets!

End of swap: January 6th, 2012 (until, hopefully, next year!)

How about it? I'll start off.

  1. I have a Camera Armor set (body and lens thingie) for a D40/D40x/D60.
I used it a few years ago to introduce my 9-year-old nephew to dSLR photography. It let me put into his hands what was then a very expensive camera without risking a heart attack as he learned to hold it properly. He's turned 14; I can part with it now. Only been used a couple times.

  2. I have an ML-L3 remote, which works with nearly all the Nikon consumer-level dSLR's, a couple of Coolpix models, and the new J1 and V1's as well. Not only great for avoiding camera shake problems, it's fantastic for taking a living-room family portrait with you in it even if you lack the Olympic-quality gymnastic skills necessary for getting into your spot before the self-timer trips the shutter.

I bought it from another Nikonian to use with my nephew (same nephew) who broke his arm just before our auntie's-finally-ín-town-again photo play date. Turns out I already had one (!) back home, and I don't need two.

  3. Lastly (for now) I offer you a Wacom Intuos 3 pen grip. This is the kind with no holes, for those of you driven crazy by the pen's side switch. You remove the switch, swap the regular sleeze with this one, and voilá, you're ready to rock'n'roll. I've used it for the past half year when I couldn't find my pen switch or sleeve (don't ask). Buying a new switch was easy, but I've just this past week found a place to buy new pen grips with holes for the switch. Now you can have it without having to buy an entire accessory kit.

And (completely out of the spirit of this post, but hey, I'm starting it; I get leeway) — if you don't want your holey pen grip, I'll swap you for it. Some extra nibs perhaps? a nib replacement tool? I've got an entire rest-of-accessory-kit stuff to offer.

— LaDonna

(The fine print: Yes, I'm in the Netherlands at the moment, but there's much more traffic in this section so I'm posting here. Don't worry; postage from here to there (wherever you are) is small for small light things.)
