esantos Nikonian since 10th Nov 2002Wed 12-Jul-17 05:14 PMIt is really quite a simple process to lay two images on top of each other and then create a layer mask on the top layer to reveal by painting away the mask in the areas you want to blend. The real trick is to develop the skills to do it seamlessly. There are a myriad of ways to do a good believable blend, it just takes skill and practice. The link provided in the previous post are two good techniques, but there are many other ways.
I am not aware of a book dedicated to blending but most Photoshop books will have some part dedicated to this process. I think if you searched the web for "Photoshop layer mask blending techniques" you should get some good information. I would also go to YouTube and do a similar search.Ernesto Santos

In the past, I had tried going through some internet write-ups but found them confusing. While (I think) I am good at Photoshop, this aspect of Exposure Blending is something I am not good at.
Thanks in advance.
