I've been doing edits for awhile now but I've always kinda jumped from one thing to the next not really having a routine.
What is the best practice for workflow when it comes to getting the cleanest images. I hear about pre sharpening (which I don't don't do). Is there a specific order that sharpening, noise reduction, healing brush.........should you crop first before editing? Just stuff like that. Any suggestions or links to good resources that go through this would be helpful.

I've just noticed that sometimes my images look great and others they looked over edited. Not sure if it could be my lack of discipline to a consistent workflow.

If life isn't confusing enough, get into photography.
