I purchased one, and it was a total waste of money. Has no added information, than what's included in the Nikon Owner's Manual for the SB-28, and in my opinion it is not worth the price. (Of course, this is my opinion.)
It really is a book that covers both the SB-26 and SB-28. I believe it may have been written in a hurry by the author, who in my opinion, just updated an SB-26 book.

avm247 Basic MemberWed 14-Jun-00 10:19 AMI bought this one, too, to go with the sb-28. It really didn't tell much more than the instruction book. And being from the side of the fence that has to look at "technical information" for a living, I really got bored with the technical aspects of how the flash works. I just want to know how to change settings and what could be done with this top of the line flash; in this respect the instruction book was more informative. (Trial and error increased the learning curve, too.) I didn't find it very helpful, but hey, you may get more out of it than I.

I echo their concerns. The manual with the SB-28 is pretty good and the MLG is not much of an improvement on it. If you buy an SB-28 without a manual then MLG is the way to go. Otherwise read the manual!
