Unusual Damage...need suggestions

Thu 07-Jul-16 09:30 AM
Omitting most details...my D4s with flash and beamer hit the ground when I stumbled over a hidden log. The impact was to the front of the beamer, which pushed the flash backwards and sheared the hot shoe off at the pin solder points.

Not possible to repair myself. I usually don't shoot flash with this camera, but would like to have it repaired. I assume that the entire top piece will have to be replaced, not just the hot shoe.

What I would like is someone to be able to make a reasonable estimate of the cost, and a good suggestion as to where to send the camera. Likely would wait a while, as everything else on the camera works normally; don't want to give it up during the summer season if it can be avoided.

Thanks for any suggestions and / or personal experiences.
