Can anyone provide me with some assistance here?

I have a couple of cameras, an F5 & F6 to which I want to have the front aperture indexing ring converted to the F4 style - so I can use my non-ai lenses on the F5 & F6.

Nikon used to provide this service, and it was a rudimentary changeover. However, I emailed Nikon and they referred me to the local office here in Australia.

Without meaning to be rude, they know sweet f- all about film cameras. The correspondence was abysmal. I really had hoped I would get a person with experience and knowledge to respond, but it did not happen.

So I rang them up..... and must have gotten the same idiot in service.

Now I know these cameras were able to be converted in a straightforward manner. But for the life of me I cannot find any information as to the parts list, or a kit number, to even allow me to search for the parts to do it myself.

If anyone can assist, or knows someone to whom I should be talking, please email me and let me know. I don't care about the country code, I just want the facts from someone who knows their stuff.

If anyone has the parts list I'd appreciate that too.

thanks in advance
Joe
