I have a very nice Nikon 28-70mm "Beast" that just isn't cutting it for me on the wide end these days.
The glass is spotless, mechanics are solid, and finish is beautiful. If I find a taker, the lens will ship with all original accessories and paperwork, in the box.

What I am looking for is a 17-55/2.8 in similar condition (pristine glass/mechanics/performance) for a straight trade.
I would like, as I am offering, to receive box, accessories and all along w/the lens.

For those who might ask "Why?"
I've decided to go ahead and sell my film gear, and as such no longer need to carry lenses that will support the 35mm frame. Since the 28-70, though an absolutely amazing lens, just isn't a convenient focal range for me on my D80, I've settled on the 17-55 as a replacement, and unfortunately can not afford to buy one without selling the other (I am a student, and though my wife is very supportive, she's not another $900-$1100 supportive! )

Finally, in light of recent negative events on this forum, serious parties may ask any reasonable measure of communication, reassurance, etc. (Phone call, references from other Nikonians, whatever you need).

Email me if interested.

Thanks!
