Which Lens--Nikon 80-200 2.8 OR Sigma 70-200 2.8 usm
Could any help me in my lens sugestion? I am torn between the Nikon 80-200 2.8 or the Sigma 70-200 2.8 USM, will the Sigma be faster, but less sharp, and the Nikon Sharper, but not as fast? Please give me your input! Money is a little issue, but I really dream of all Nikon lenses (17-35 2.8, 28-80 2.8, 80-200 2.8, 300 2.8, 500 4.0....ah dreams!! I shoot w/ a N90s and N70 bodys. Thanks for your input...happy shooting!

Guy if money is no issue and you love Nikkors, the 80-200 AFS is the way to go.

You can also look at these subjective ratings above. The AFS Nikkor is over $1500. The Sigma can be obtained for $750. Just remember they are still zoom lenses, so sharp is relative to lots of factors in usage.

Sun 23-Sep-01 05:33 PMBut if yo want to look to objective tests, here are some recent pictures taken with the 80-200mm f/2.8D ED IF AF-S; and if you are looking into the 80-200mm f/2.8D ED, image quality is close to that of the AF-S as you can also see|here>
