I'm still learning new ways to use the EVF. The latest is a new way to look for dust spots.
I've got the FN1 button programmed to Zoom. It toggles a zoom to 50%, 100%, or 200% depending on what you have chosen. You can use this function to check for dust spots in real time. Simply set the aperture to the narrowest aperture and defocus the lens. Point the camera at a bright low contrast background - like the sky - and you can use the multi-selector button to move the view across the frame and check for dust through the EVF which works even on the brightest of days.
