Very helpful article, Eric. Thank you. I will definitely check out assigning the zoom to the function button. I haven't played with the iMenu functions yet, but based on your article, I can see how this would be helpful.
I received my Z7 the day before I left for a trip to China. I took it along and ended up shooting almost everything with that camera. There were definitely some adjustments from my DSLR's but overall I was quite impressed with the camera, including the performance of the FTZ adapter. I found the viewfinder very easy to get used to and often felt comfortable using it to adjust my shot instead of relying on the exposure meter or histogram. If I had known about the 100% zoom option in the viewfinder then, I think I would have been even happier with the results!
