If the reason for wanting to have the camera generate a tif is based on the fact that editing programs are not yet recognizing the Z6ii model, there are two solutions.
1. You can used Nikon Capture NX-D to convert the Z6ii NEF to tif. You can also process the NEF before savings. NX-D has some good editing features and results. However the interface is somewhat frustrating at first.
2. You can use an EXIF editor and change the camera model from Z6_2 to Z6. There are free and fee based editors with the free ones typically supporting the editing of EXIF info for one image at a time. Fee based EXIF editors usually support batch modes.
