Congrats. I've had my Z6 for a year already and I've been impressed with the IQ compared to the DX cameras I'd been using until then. AF lock was too slow on the Z6 for serious bird photography, so I traded the Z6 in on a Z6ii on Sunday. AF is much improved and besides the reduced reach and slower effective frame rate vs my D7500, the new Z6ii looks like it's every bit as capable as the D7500 for BIF and fast-moving animals.
Although the Z6ii has a blazingly fast frame rate of 14 frames/sec in high extended mode, that's not practically usable for moving wildlife due to EFV lag, so one has to make do with the 5.5 frames/sec of Continuous High.
After a year of dissatisfaction with the Z6 for moving birds I'm now much more optimistic about the capabilities of the Z6ii.
