I'm not sure what you mean by "better product." Better than what? The Z6 and Z6ii are both excellent cameras, and the differences between them (i.e., the new features in the Z6ii) are not that great. If any of these differences is important to your style of photography, then the Z6ii might be better for you.
Also, I don't think sales volume data comparisons will tell you anything about the relative quality of the Z6 and Z6ii or how they might suit your needs.
