I have Kirk L-Brackets for my Z6 and Z7. It is correct that the L-Bracket for the Z6 does not fit the Z6ii properly. It will mount, sort of, in that the Z6 L-bracket edges are not wide enough to accommodate the 2mm increase in the Z6ii camera base dimension.
When I say the Z6 L-Bracket will "mount, sort of", yes you can screw on the Z6 L-bracket but it will not seat properly and cause a skew in the alignment of the L-Bracket relative to the camera base.
I am using the current L-Bracket until I receive my pre-order for the new model. If you do the same, be careful not to attempt to force the old L-Bracket to seat by turning down the mounting screw with extreme force. According to Kirk, the female thread is held into the camera base with Loc-Tite and given the mis-alignment gap between camera base and bracket, you could pull the female thread from the camera base.
