ACDsee's cataloging is combined with their editor. The editor has limited capabilities compared to most other modern apps. I tried it a year or so ago, and found it wanting. AS I recall, it did not have selective editing or plug-in support.

The Plus version of Photo Mechanic is available for as beta to any owner of PM6. They are still tweaking features, but it is very stable and works just as well as regular PM with all of its features.

Right now they are releasing a new beta about once a month.

You can download a fully functional 30 day trial of PM. Right now the software is on sale for $124 (regularly $139) and the purchase price is credited toward the Plus version when it is released, should you with to upgrade.
