I've been enjoying the learning process of my Z6II and have uploaded into LR Classic via a SanDisk CFExpress card reader.

However, after the upload is complete, if I eject the card, LR says "file not found." This is different than my usual uploads via UHS II. So basically, if I don't have the CFExpress card attached to LR, I can't edit my photos?

Perhaps I'm missing something basic, so any advice is most welcome.

Working on a MacBook Pro with MacOS Monterey.

Start an import and then note the top center portion of the Import dialog box. Change it from Add to Copy and it will copy the files to the destination of your choice. CFExpress cards are treated as hard drives by software since they use the PCIE 3.0 interface on the connected computer.
