SAMPLE SHOTS

I had no time to setup a tripod nor to have enough cover to stop shivering in the cold weather of Paris around New Years Eve. But here are some extra samples of what the beast can accomplish even without much thinking.

Though you might not appreciate it from these scans, sharpness is there, from edge to edge, contrast is also very nice. The day was dull but this lens made it look alive with a little help from a polarizer filter.

This picture of the Place Vendome in Paris was taken at 17mm with a handheld F5, shot on Fujicolor Superia X-TRA 800.
The monument up close, made from the melted metal of 1200 cannons captured by the French at the Battle of Austerlitz.
