71. Adobe Lightroom 3 - Creating a Quick and Clean Slide Show

Article 71 of 100

I often have the need to show a client a few images and I don't want to irritate the client with a lot of irrelevant clutter or slide show design plus I need to do it quickly. So I decided to strip the Adobe Lightroom Slideshow Module down to it's bare bones and see if it will work for me.

Adobe Lightroom

1. I select a number of images (I gave them all five stars) in the Library Module and I use the Quick Develop toolbox to crop them all a Crop Aspect Ratio of 1 x 2.

2. I open the images in the Develop Module and adjust the positioning of the images in the crop marks.

3. I again select all the images and select the Slideshow Module, the images are now all in the Slideshow Module.

4. You can see that I have stripped the Slideshow Module of all backgrounds (well I made the background black) and overlays, and I have set very small margins to allow for maximum image size on my 17-inch PowerBook screen.

5. I do a preview, it looks great, and I am ready to give a quick and clean slide show.

6. In Play mode of the Slideshow Module

P.S. Please do not get upset if your personal experience and views are different from my own. These opinions are mine exclusively and do not reflect the views or policies of any of the manufacturers mentioned in these articles ...... George Mann
