32. Lightroom Develop: HSL Color Tuning - Hue Settings

Article 32 of 100

There are three separate HSL Color Tuning panels, Hue, Saturation and Luminance. In today's article we will look at the minimum and maximum settings effect of Hue on our test image, tomorrow we will look at Saturation and the day after at Luminance.

Please keep in mind that these settings only affect the image if the colors being addressed are present. I will do another test later with more colors being present in the scene but am trying to find a way of doing it without using a color chart.

 

All HSL Color Tuning sliders set at 0

 

HSL Color Tuning Hue - Reds set to -30

 

HSL Color Tuning Hue - Reds set to +30

 

HSL Color Tuning Hue - Yellows set to -30

 

HSL Color Tuning Hue - Yellows set to +30

 

HSL Color Tuning Hue - Greens set to -30

 

HSL Color Tuning Hue - Greens set to +30
