Slide samples

As mentioned before, the Medium Format became synonymous of quality pictures, largely because it uses a bigger negative. The above slide samples from the Mamiya UK site, clearly illustrate the advantages of any of three medium format sizes as compared with 35mm that, by being smaller, needs to be enlarged more times than the medium format one for a given print size. This advantage is made more evident in big enlargements, although with newer films, the difference may only be noticeable at or above the 8X10 size.
