Nikonians is pleased to present its Best of 2012 Images Photo Contest, open to all Silver, Gold and Platinum Nikonians Members.

Nikonians, in an effort to promote and recognize as many talented photographers as possible, whose images serve to share, learn and inspire us all, is dedicating this contest to all winners of the Nikonians Challenges and Forum Assignments contests of 2012.

All Silver, Gold and Platinum Members are eligible to participate in any and all theme categories of the monthly forums contests and online assignments. The monthly contests winners, selected by the votes of Nikonians members, automatically qualify as finalists and their images will be uploaded automatically from the Winners Galleries into the Triple Crown Finalists Gallery.

You competed and won a monthly challenge or assignment but are currently a Basic member? No worries. just upgrade now and you will be elegible.

Please upload your winning images in this Triple Crown Gallery. Please rename your file(s) as follows: Month (of winning)_forum_username.jpg; for example: september_landscape_bgs.jpg.

Images must be 1200 pixels at their longest side.

At the early start of the year 2013, members of the Nikonians Masters Society, composed of outstanding professionals and distinguished advanced amateur photographers around the world, will select among all the monthly winners the 3 (three) top-rated images.

There will be Nikonians Certificates of Photographic Achievement for all the 2012 Finalists.

Winners of the Triple Crown will be selected by an expert photographers panel, composed by members of The Nikonians Master Society. Winners will be announced and prizes awarded during the first half of January 2013, to allow for all monthly contests winners to enter the competition, including those of December 2012.

The Triple Crown Winners will be selected from the 2012 finalists gallery. They will receive the Nikonians Certificate of High Photographic Achievement and prizes. In addition to the prizes from our sponsor, Nikonians will also award each of them a one year Nikonians Gold Membership.

The winners images are displayed prominently for the community at the Nikonians Photo Contest forum, the Nikonians Newsletter and a Nikonians Photo Contest 2012 page will be published. They will also be announced in The Nikonian eZine.

The rules applying to this 2012 contest are the rules established for participation in the Forums Monthly Contests and Online assignmnents, currently running at the Landscape, Wildlife, Micro, Macro & Closeu-up, Sports forums and at the Online Assigments forum.
