I'm an enthusiastic amateur photographer for over 20 years. I have recently moved back to Germany where I grew up, although I went to the University in Texas. That's when I developed a deeper passion for landscape photography. I used an Olympus system (OM-1 dinosaur + lenses) for more than 15 years. I was forced to replace my gear after it finally broke during a sandstorm when visiting the spectacular scenery of the southwestern states of the US. Got a F100 shortly afterwards and that's how I became a Nikon user a few years ago, now with a D100 and D70. Glad to be on the team.

Anthony here a.k.a. "avm247". Been with Nikonians almost since the beginning. I picked up the camera "seriously" when I was attending university for my Bachelor of Architecture degree and naturally gravitated to Nikon. Besides Nikonians and Architecture, my interests lie in my family and rediscovering my cultural heritage.

I'm a Philippine expatriate living in the scenic Ocean State of Rhode Island, USA. I've been an amateur photographer for many years and discovered Nikonians.org while researching for my first autofocus SLR. Spending quality time with my lovely wife and rambunctious kids, digital photography and jazz balances out my hours spent as an IT administrator for a large financial institution. I am enjoying helping out this great online community as a member of the Nikonians Team.

Hello -  I started photography in the early '70's with a Minolta SRT101 after the birth of my first son, but after a few years, career took precedence and photography became, well, not even a second thought. After virtually ignoring my camera for about 20 years, I started in again and re-discovered my love of the craft. I've been shooting Nikon for about 5 years and now own and proudly use an F100 and a Fuji S2. Every now and then, I sell prints at arts fairs, so I hope that my photography will someday be self-supporting. BTW - I have another "hobby" I share with my wife - we train puppies for service as guide dogs for the blind. Glad to be here.

I have been passionate about photography ever since I met this cute photography-major in college. She turned out to be my wife and we ended up starting a documentary wedding photography business together in Phoenix. We've been at it for over 11 years, and our two sons have been the inspiration in our child portraiture business for the last 8. I love my job! And I love Nikonians!

I can call myself a third generation Nikon photographer; both my father and grandfather helped introduce me to the world of photography on wonderful Nikon cameras. I have been shooting Nikon for the past 20 years, starting with my first SLR, an FG-20, and a Nikkormat FT2, progressing through the N90 and finally, today, into digital with the D2X and D70. I made a career change in 2005, and since then have been a full-time professional photographer in a suburb of Chicago, Illinois, shooting everything from corporate events to concerts to weddings. I have always loved Nikonians for its uncommonly friendly, civil and helpful atmosphere, and I'm pleased to be part of such a great team.

Born in Wales, I've lived in Manchester, England, for the last 25 years. My photography started at age 9 or so, with an Ilford 127 roll film camera with manual everything. After 30 years as a Minolta user, I found Nikonians. A fantastic source of information and support, made me switch to the best (!). A bit "old school", I'm still a film user but the lure of digital is getting stronger all the time, more so now that my wife has her own D70. My main photographic interests are land/sea/cityscapes, along with trains, planes and cars, some wildlife and still life, with a couple of F100's and a range of Nikkors. It's great to be part of the team.

I've loved photography for a long time and purchasing a Nikon camera was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Took several photography courses at our local University and read many books. Nikonians members are a tremendous source for understanding equipment and the complexity of photography. Most importantly, the encouragement, support, and shared knowledge from all, continue to add to the desire for improvement. I feel honored to have been invited as a Moderator and look forward to sharing our love of photography, as well as encouraging each other in our quest to improving our photographs.

I’m a freelance nature photographer living in Bonn, Germany. Having photographic experience since the age of 8, I soon focused on nature and wildlife photography, which is still my passion. For me, photography is an ART that I pursue in order to create an awareness of the great beauty and diversity of the worlds ecological treasures. Being a Nikonian by heart, I’m proud to support this beautiful community as a Moderator of our Landscape and Wildlife forums and Workshops Team Leader in Europe.

Photography has been a passion in my life as far back as I can remember. As a young man I began my own studies and research, later developing my skills and practices with film-based Nikon cameras like the N90s and F5. Abstract, Street, Portrait and Landscape Photography are my main focus. I first joined Nikonians in 2003 and since then have moved to digital formats shooting the D100 and D2X. I share my life and passion for photography with my beautiful wife Teresa Anne Bamburg. It is an honor and a privilege to be part of the Nikonians Team!

I've been a 35mm photography enthusiast since the late 70's. My teachers have been time, trial and error, and all of you here at Nikonians. Although I'm interested in many areas of photography, my favorite thing is to be outdoors shooting anything to do with nature including birds, flowers and landscapes. I've learned a lot since joining Nikonians and I am very pleased to help out as a Moderator. I live near Washington, D.C. with my wife and two children.

I've been an avid amateur photographer for thirty years, having received my initial training and started photography while a police detective. Today, I shoot Nikon and frankly, it is an excellent system that more than satisfies my needs. I focus a great deal on Black & White digital photography and in 2006, I was nominated for one of my image submissions by the Black & White Spider Awards. I must admit, Nikonians has helped me hone my abilities, expand my knowledge and helped with successes such as above. Finally, my day job is in the information technology industry where today, I work as an internetworking engineering consultant. I look forward to seeing you online in the forums!

A self-taught photographer and an aspiring artist, I have been shooting since I was 10. My journey to Nikon was a long one and only became reality in 2003. Prior to that, I was an avid Pentax ME Super user. Now, with an F5, two N80s and even two Mamiya m645 medium format bodies at my disposal, my gear is well rounded and well suited for my uses. When not designing buildings for the State of California, I am either out with my Nikons or playing trains at my model railroad club (the original reason for getting into photography). My photography has grown considerably over the years but not as much as it has since I joined Nikonians. Truly proud to serve on the Moderator Team, I plan to continue enjoying and seeing “Life from All Angles”.

I shot an old Pentax K1000 back in college. Unfortunately, you can’t acquire a lot of equipment with a student’s budget and I soon put photography aside. 3 years ago my wife and I visited the Grand Canyon. I took along the old Pentax and it failed on me. I was so upset that I immediately satisfied an old burning desire from high school; to own a Nikon camera. I bought an N80 and within days I was hooked on photography again. Then I found Nikonians. I’ve been visiting the site every day since. Today I shoot southwest landscapes with my trusty D100. I am extremely proud to be on the team and to be associated with a great group of folks.

I grew up in France where I spent nearly 20 years. I have always been artistically inclined but, not too keen on the prospect of becoming a starving artist, I moved to Ohio to attend Kent State University and get a degree in Art Education. After graduating and getting married to my wonderful husband James (nislyj here on the forum) I taught for 3 years while simultaneously starting to photograph weddings. Now I do weddings full-time with the help of James and love it. I am most happy to join the Team.

Ny name is George Barron and I live in South Carolina, USA. I have been a Nikonian since just after getting my N80 in the summer of 2001. After meeting Bo and JRP at the First Nikonians Photo Adventure I became moderator of the then very busy N80 Forum. I've been happily moderating in a number of forums ever since. I got my first Nikon, an FG, in the late 1980s but didn't become serious about photography until I got my N80. I've done a lot of reading and a lot of shooting but nothing has helped improve my photography more than the friendly, knowledgeable people here at Nikonians.

I photograph for approximately 25 years. My preferred area is landscape photography. I live in the northern part of Germany. Another hobby is Radio/Controlled Helicopter Flying. In 1994 I switched from Minolta to Nikon (F90X). Now I use a F100 and I love this machine. For me, probably the world's best SLR Camera. But I also have interests in digital photography. I am very pleased to help out as a Moderator.
