1. What camera model are you using?
2. Are you applying sharpening in the camera settings?
3. Are you seeing softer images compared to View in LR before or after applying sharpening in LR?
I'm guessing you are applying sharpening in-camera, because View can display this sharpening in the image window whereas LR cannot read the in-camera settings so you are seeing an unsharpened image.Ernesto Santos

With the right values, you can get far more detail out of an image than you can with any Picture Control setting in View NX2 or Capture NX2 (or in-camera setting). If you haven't changed the default values, the sharpening in LR will be a bit on the soft side.Rick Walker
