Probably a basic operation for most of you ...but not for me
I am confronted with a portrait with an awful background that I try to remove without loosing the fine details of the very thin hair of the model.
I usually work with PS CS3 and I would have normally used the "extract" function to do this. Unfortunately the precision is not that good, many hair are "eaten" because very thin and very light (blond hair). Pasting them back is still worse...
Then I tried "Mask Pro" (as demo first) and also "Corel Knockout" but the results are very poor
I know I am not a specialist in this matter, however, general pp with PS CS3 makes no problem for me ...until now !
Would some of you have an advice to give or have an experience with this kind of work ? I really cannot get out of this "tunnel" thought I had like to use this portrait for prints during my next exhibition.
Thanks a lot to those who will be so kind and help me in finding a solution
Here attached a portion of the image showing the problem to be solved.
friendly,
Pol
