Good Moire Video on how to remove moire in PhotoShop, even luminance moire.

Will come in handy for the D800E I would expect, but some moire can crop up with any camera.

Good video. Easy to follow. Makes me fell less worried about ordering
a D800E now that I know it can be fixed if needed.

Good lord, if that was 'easy' then I'm sticking with the D800 and not the D800E (I're pre-ordered both).

:-P

What are you doing reading this? Go out and capture images!

I didn't say it was easy but insofar as alot of things you can do in PhotoShop I think this is rather easy to implement. We're not talking a half hour of work. It might be necessary to do at times, and not just with a D800E. Having an AA filter doesn't mean you will never have moire in your images. Look at this example from a D700. The OP says the moire was present in the raw file visible in Capture NX 2 at default settings.

While color moire removal techniques have been around a while luminance moire has been more of a pain to deal with. This technique works very well at dealing with both and salvaging what would otherwise be a lost image - and it might be that "only" shot you have that you need to remove the moire from since moire isn't usually visible on the LCD screen on the camera.

When it does crop up at least you have a technique to perhaps deal with it well.
