I can see that there is a USB 3.0 port on the D800. Does that mean that I have to attach the D800 directly to a laptop to transfer my images to the Hard Drive, or does Nikon have some software on the D800 to transfer directly to say something like an IOMEGA USB drive (or any portable USB drive). I guess that would mean that the D800 will have some software to do a direct file transfer. That cant be all that difficult. Just a low level software driver and a Direct Transfer menu function. That would be quiet useful, just put the Iomega USB drive on a shoulder bag and do a direct transfer every time I take a photo. USB 3.0 speed maxes at 5 Gig.
Is there a wireless transfer function on the D800?
