Doesn't "late at night" depend on which time zone you are in...?

Send me your phone number and I will call you if it's announced in the middle of the night, our time, while you're asleep. (or should be asleep).

Nikon Rumors reported that several days ago. Of course, you have to consider that "Rumors" is part of their website name.

Maybe Jacques can help us out, this Chasseur D'Images information is said to be real and looks good!

If it does indeed get announced around noon, local time here in Japan, I'll be able to try both D4 and D800 at the C&P show in Yokohama on the 9th of February. I'll bring my D700 just to compare the shots at ISO 3200 and 6400. Video might be an interesting item also.

Regards,

Glenn

I read the Chasseur d'image information . Basicly this well known photo magazine is not very happy with the Nikon refusal to give out info about the new D800. The prese ha e been called in on the 7th where details will be' announced officially.
So they are informing the public that the D800, 2 different type one without a anti alias filter, will have the specs as they announced back in october.

Sensor 24 x 36. 36 mpx
4fps 14 bit and 6fps with pack
Full hd 1080p video
Hdmi. And. Headphone jack
100% screen
Use of both CF and SD cards
Wifi - wt4
USB 3
Expeed 3 Professore
Meter 91,000 points
ISO 100 to 6400

Thank you Jacques,

That 6fps with grip stat could be a VERY important one if it involves all 36mp (i.e the full FX frame). 6fps is getting well fast enough that a camera can be pressed into service for sports and wildlife, not just studio and landscape. Making it a much more versatile "all arounder"' style camera if it can do it. I am excited to see the upcoming official announcement to see full verified details!

Best regards, SteveK
