After looking at every single frame of the Digitutor, it seems to me Nikon has created a truly game-changing camera. The D800/800E is incomprehensibly intelligent. Equally important, almost all the most essential in-camera adjustments have been elevated onto the camera body instead of being buried in menus. Yes, the 800/800E still requires a lot of memorizing and hands on use before we become truly fluent and at-one with it -- but it should be easier to learn to use than the less capable D700 was— and making essential changes and adjustments is now in our fingertips.

In a word, WOW!

Wow!
I am going to have to relearn to use this camera.
Many of the controls have changed.
Might be easier if I were a beginner.

Looking forward to the challenge as I should produce better images
if I can master the D800.

The problem with this camera will be that it will make me feel intellectually inferior. I don't like that.

Wow!

Looks like a bit of a learning curve--happy to embark on that. The sooner the better.

I really like the AF button capacity and not having to scroll through menus to change settings for that.
