A wet cleaning done yourself or with service is the best approach. If you really have oil spots on a D800 I'd probably send it to Nikon for service. That is likely not a problem which will clear up after a single cleaning and will continue to be a problem.

I'd give it a good cleaning with a Copper Hills cleaning kit. One of the most 'enabling' things I've bought considering I can get a squeaky clean sensor without giving up my camera for a week or more. I don't fear dust on the sensor at all anymore.
