Trawling Amazon UK this morning and they are taking D800 pre orders for £2099.99, a drop of £300! See: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nikon-D800-Digital-Camera-Body/dp/B00763MHB4/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1332230308&sr=1-1

That was quick, especially as no other retailers I've looked at have dropped.
