"Just got my D800 from Best Buy in Portland"

I just got back from Best Buy in Portland, OR (Cascade Station) with my shiny new D800. I feel sorry for all of you that are at the bottom of a pre-order list somewhere, but I hope you get yours soon too. All I had to do was waltz in the front door. From a quick peek at their inventory screen, it appears that each location in the Portland area only got *two* D800's today.

Great news! I was the first to order the D800E from Ritz, Jantzen Beach. I am hoping mid April works for me. Enjoy shooting, and please post photos soon!

I don't know how, per se, but I can tell you what I did. I called yesterday, and they said they would be getting some on the 24th. So naturally, I came in today (22nd), since nothing they tell you on the phone is ever correct.

And of course when I got there, they said they didn't have any and wouldn't until tomorrow (23rd). But I waited around for 30 minutes anyway and *poof* the manager came over with a box for me.

I just went with my gut feeling.
