Just a quick question I couldn't find an answer to. From my understanding, Lightroom doesn't see the camera settings from the D800 in RAW. So, if shooting under different lighting conditions does it mean that Lightroom would not follow any white balance settings I make to the camera? Thank you!

I think White Balance is probably the only camera setting that most software, including Lightroom, uses when rendering a RAW file. Because you are using RAW you can always change the White Balance setting from the camera setting in post processing if you desire.

I have found LR does not read WB settings as well as none of the other camera settings. I have tested this by setting a manual WB of say 5400k and LR will read it as closer to 5900k. I haven't really done any further testing under different lighting, but have noticed the difference a few times. LR still manages to get WB very close though.
